Pangkor Dangerous

[Sher's Saga of events]

I am tanned, and I got a self-inflicted-upon-self-funny-fringe-haircut;phew. So anyways, yea...I wanted to write a bit about how our Pangkor trip went about:from my POV. We left from Taylor's on a Monday ( which was still a college day for some others, loaded with luggage and with some sort of-in your face haha we're on a holiday mood evil smiles on our faces; at least that was what I had with me before we left. ) Now the idiotic part about the trip for me, was how I forgot my cam memory card and had to strive on only 10 pics in my camera, so I guess this should be the first time I leave pic-taking to others, and decided to capture undefinable, and unmaterialised fond memories than to have captured boxed and scrutinised pics of people and places; Nah, who am I kidding, I'm just trying to cover up. Anyways, Pangkor was dangerously enjoyable and in case you're wondering why the hack is it dangerous? It's only because we watched Bangkok Dangerous in the bus, and thought it was such a cool catch phrase =D. Anyways, yea...on the first day we took a bus trip up north to the jetty in Pangkor. On the way, we stopped by a restaurant famous for their Duck Noodles; so they say. Took the ferry across, and voila...Viva La' Pangkor. We stayed at the Coral Bay Resort apartments: in which if I'm correct I stayed there before about 5 years ago maybe...but Pangkor has changed A LOT since then. 

Tuesday came, and went Island-hopping! We snorkelled a wee bit, but the fishes weren't as visibly clear as it was in Redang, nevertheless...I still love being in the outdoors, and in the waters regardless. Later, under the eye of the fierce and scorching sun ( yes trying to impress to you how HOT it was ), we went fishing by the shallow waters. We caught a few fishes, and about an hour later brought it to a private shore to cook, and eat it. Oh yea, about the fishing experience, our care-taker/guide caught a sea cucumber in which later it ( NOT THE GUY I MEAN )  started GUSHING OUT ALL OF ITS INTESTINES, BLOOD, FAECES AND ALL THE OTHER INSIDES you don't wanna know...because it couldn't stand being out of water ( ok, sorry you had to read that...but it was disgusting, if I knew more about sea cucumbers I WOULD NOT HAVE WANT TO SEE IT REACT LIKE THAT ). Later, we all had our banana boat rides, it was nice...and a few of us kinda got bruised a bit when we landed on each other.Tuesday was nice. 

Wednesday came, and some of us rented bikes for RM6/day. We literally covered half the Island of Pangkor;so to say we met the dead end of the Island and had to turn back. Half way cycling on a bright and sunny turned cloudy day, it rained so heavily. Multi-tasking: cycling and bathing in the rain, we braved our journey back to the apartment. I was cycling the slowest, and I mean seriously: cycling in that 2 hours was about the most exercise I ever got this year. Personally, when I first got unto the bike I was pretty scared of cycling unto the main road, with other motorists. Plus, most of the scars that I previously got when I was younger was because I fell from a bike, from climbing, running...and the sorts. 

Thursday: the day we were leaving for home. On the way home, we stopped by the hot springs in Kuala Klah. It was hot;haha. Painful too for me, because just the day before I got some nasty red-ant bites on my toes. Came back on Thursday, and I took the whole Friday for my aching back, arms, legs and soar throat to heal. In a nutshell, Pangkor was enjoyable, I ate so much seafood in a few days I could almost literally judge the taste in my head and I now know, that I should not be a ding-dong to forget my memory card. Thanks for the awesome trip, peeps...I'm off now, maybe someone else should edit/add to the saga of events from their POV too =).

Day Trip to Malacca!

First of all, it is important that you read Yi Ying's Post on the BBQ tomorrow! (post just below this!)

Next, I would like to invite all of you to join the TaylorsCF ( Christian Fellowship ) for a one-day trip to Malacca to tour around most of the landmarks, to taste their infamous delicacies, but

more importantly to have a good time doing something different for a change. 

Disclaimer: This is not, however a trip with any religious/Christian agenda. It's honestly just a day trip that the CF in college is organizing for all students in Taylors. Open to everyone.

Details:

Place: Malacca (most parts)

Date: 20th Sept ( SAT )

Time: Be in TUC Main Campus at 8 am!

Transport: Express Bus (RM 20 including to and fro: RM10 each journey)

Head Count: 40 ppl only, Ronson from ECA as our care-taker.

We reach at TUC Main Campus at night after having our farewell dinner in Malacca!

So, hey if you guys/girls are interested...do tell/text me by Wednesday (tomorrow) after consideration and more importantly, when you have gotten consent from your parents.

I guess behind our quiet facade, everyone loosened up alot on Prom Night. If you hadn't realize, we were the LAST class on the dance floor still dancing like it was nobody's business. We danced until the music stop, that was when they totally cut us off from dancing!Not bad eih? Prom Night was much to brag about, with you crazy people on the dance floor of course.

I'm quite sure there's still more wild-crazy moves packed in all of you, we'll just wait and see. Till then, i'm signing off!

Ok first of all, lame title i know i can't help it that im unimaginative so deal with it.
Secondly if this post turns out to be the most boring collection of words you have ever read blame Sher Lynn as she's the one that somewhat persuaded me to write this.

Okay here goes,
so today the 22nd of June a Sunday Teeni, Sher Lynn, Yen Ping, Yen Ping's bf (which i will refer to as Joey as i can't spell his name) and me went to watch the Hulk at One Utama (OU).
The movie was decent. I almost fell asleep as it was the second time watching it for me.
Two funny parts worth a mention, first "You won't like me when im ...hungry" , Bruce Banner attempting to speak Portuguese..
And my personal favorite part of the movie. The love scene between Bruce and Betty. Not because of the love making but the lack of it.

Heart rate monitor goes *beep* *beep*
Bruce: I can't do this
Betty: Why? But i want to
Bruce: No i can't get to excited
Betty: Not even a little?

haha poor dude...

So after the movie we went to the LALA photo-sticker place where people stand in those booths and pose. Can't remember who proposed it but i assure you it wasn't me.
I have to admit the photos weren't bad i think i looked especially decent.

The others looked okay too i guess. haha kidding.

Then we spent the best part of 45 minutes conteng-ing each others faces on the photos.
Must add that Joey is more artistic than Teeni, Sher Lynn and Yen Ping combined.

No none of you will ever see those photos-sticker things.
But due to my boredom i will provide a vague description of one of the photo-sticker things.
Yen Ping has a pair of grandma glasses superimposed on her face.
Sher Lynn has a crown.
Teeni has a Hibiscus or better known in Malaysia as a Bunga Raya on her hair.
Joey has devil horns and a watermelon. Yes a watermelon.

And i have bunny ears.

After distributing the photos evenly among us with the very fun to play with cutting device machine thing we finally succumbed to our hunger.

So after wandering around awhile (a very severe understatement) we finally decided to go to TGI Fridays.
There we had a lame joke session. I won't mention any of the jokes here so that these jokes can be delivered in person someday to supply entertainment to whoever is in to lame jokes. But i will mention that Sher Lynn told a joke about blowjobs. Haha.
And Teeni told a joke about pink clouds that is totally not funny! haha =P .

Then the food came. Incredibly huge portions noone finished their food even though some of us were absolutely famished before. Such a waste of food. Think about all the Africans that starve everyday and Myanmar and all those places with no food. Haih.
But anyway with big portions of food a big bill follows after.

Thats not the whole story of TGI fridays. At one point i visited the washroom and returned to find the others dancing in their seats to the YMCA song.
I stood staring at them horror struck for a second then turned and left pretending not to know them.
Thats not the end of the horror. About 10 minutes later the YMCA song got replayed and the strangers at my table started bouncing in their seats like kids from Tanjung Rambutan. I was very tempted to hide under the table to not be seen but Teeni was wearing a skirt so couldn't for obvious reasons.

Somehow we managed to spend close to 3 hours in TGI fridays. Madness i know. But we had cool semi-circular seats so it was justifiable.

After that it was already about 7pm but we were considering watching another movie but after standing in a circle outside the cinema for AWHILE (huge understatement) we decided just to play pool.
Pool tables at OU suck bad. But then again im probably just annoyed because i lost. In my defence it was 4 on 1 and the balls were really retarded.
Oh and Sher Lynn is really not bad at pool. Shan will be glad to know that he has a new potential pool companion.

Finally we decided to call it a day it was only 8 something but we had been there since 11am and i at least was feeling really lazy and sleepy.
So it was my responsibility to send Teeni and Sher Lynn home.
So i sent Sher Lynn home bla bla bla...

Now the interesting part.
On the way to Teeni's house i let her drive. Yes people she can drive. FAST. yes FAASTTT. like ZOOOOM. Okay so shes a pretty decent driver although she kept on mixing up the car flashing light signal things and the wipers but thats not really her fault my car is weird its all reversed and stuff. All in all it was a very interesting ride being driven by Teeni. But in the future i think i'll definitely be the driver. Unless she learns to SLOW DOWN BEFORE TURNING!!!!
haha ok but seriously not bad for a woman driver.

If anyone has actually read this whole thing i applaud your patience as it seems i have written a pretty long post which must be quite boring.
And if there were any grammar mistakes, I am Malaysian so deal with it. haha

Hey everyone, as cliche as this may really seem, with everyone...well practically A LOT of people starting blogs of their classes...

and as much as my first sentence sounds very much like a disclaimer...

and i do get annoyed with disclaimers...

I think it'd be nice to have our very own 0707PM16 class blog =D...

Alterations to the layout, setting, posting of pictures, and FREE-FLOW of posts are greatly welcomed by all PM16 peeps...THAT MEANS YOU! *points finger!*
